Message from the President

I am much obliged to you for your support and would like to express my deepest gratitude.

Thanks to you, JUKI CORPORATION reaches its 80th year in operation on December 15, 2018.

We wish to express my appreciation for the ongoing support of our customers, business partners, shareholders, community members, and other stakeholders.

On December 15, 1938, we started out in Tokyo as Tokyo Juki Manufctures Association. In the postwar chaos, we pooled our collective “manufacturing” capabilities to start to develop, manufacture, and sell household and industrial sewing machines.

No matter how rough our path for 80 years became, we have captured the needs of our customers as a technology- development type of company and adhered to our commitment to provide innovative products that support the customer’s manufacturing, including the world’s first practicable sewing machine with automatic thread trimmer and also the world’s first sewing machine with bobbin thread automatic feeder.

Today we are a company with a global technology support structure delivering industrial and household sewing machines, industrial equipment, and their respective parts to customers in more than 180 countries all over the world.

Now using ICT (Information Communication Technology), we have just started to develop new solutions combining machines and systems to achieve enhancement of added value at the manufacturing site of the customer.

Making the best of the technical capabilities and quality strength we have nurtured while producing our own products, we are working to further expand our business domain by developing group business activities to support the manufacturing of our customers.

In the final streatch leading to our 80th anniversary, and later as we approach our centennial as a coming milestone, we embrace a new slogan: “GLOBAL & INNOVATIVE - Your solution partner.” Centering on the development of smart solutions, we aims at further growth as a company that offers its customers to both “peace of mind” and “good impression.”
